Daily Skin Care Tips

Skin Care & Tips

Every woman wants to look beautiful, healthy and youthful. A daily and consistent skin care and hair care regimen will help every woman do just that. A woman’s self-esteem is often wrapped up in how young or healthy she perceives her skin and hair to look every day. Here are a few simple things you can do to ensure you’ll look your very best now and for years down the road.

 1. Cleanse your Skin twice a Day

Cleansing and exfoliating are the most important step to beautiful skin. Try the Oliskin Healing Olive Oil Cleanser,  your skin will be silky smooth and refreshed, with all the dead skin rinsed away.

Cleanse your skin twice a day, morning and night, with Oliskin Deep Cleanser. This will help remove any dirt and oil build-up that develops throughout the day, as well as remove any dead skin that naturally collects on our face. Once that dead skin is gently sloughed off, new and restored skin can surface allowing your skin to look and feel baby skin smooth!

After cleansing and exfoliating your skin, remember to moisturize!

 2. Exfoliate 2-3 times a week

Exfoliate if you don’t use daily exfoliating cleanser and just use a regular cleanser instead. Some people’s skin is too sensitive to use an exfoliant every day, and if you are in this category, exfoliate 2-3 times a week with a gentle exfoliating scrub instead. This will remove dead skin cells (cellular build-up) and any oil and dirt deposits that have been missed by daily cleansing.

 3. Pat Skin Dry

When you step out of the bath or shower, gently pat yourself dry with a fluffy towel instead of drying quickly and tearing at your skin with a rough and overly starched towel. Rubbing an abrasive towel across your damp skin will remove layers of skin in a rough manner, irritating your skin and causing little bumps and rashes.

 4. Moisturize

Moisturize and keep your skin in the best condition at all times, and you will look radiant even without makeup. Whatever your skin type, make sure to avoid excessive exposure to the sun and wind.

Before dressing for the day, make sure you remember to apply body lotion to your body, including the neck area. The first two minutes from exiting the shower is the ideal time to lock in that moisture.

Apply Oliskin moisturizers while still damp to help lock in the moisture, and make sure to pick the right type for your skin. Make sure that you are applying moisturizing products to more than just your face - pay special attention to your dry skin areas on elbows and knees, as well as the rest of your body.

 5. Wear Sunblock

If you are going to be spending a reasonable amount of time outdoors, make sure to use the sun screen with a minimum SPF of 30 every couple of hours, especially if you are going to be in the water or excessively sweating. The main reason a baby’s skin is so soft is because they are always well-covered from the natural elements and they are not outdoors long enough to have any type of damaging effects on their delicate skin.

Oily Skin

Relaxation, living a stress-free lifestyle and lots of sleep are only some of the helpful tips that many health and beauty experts would generally recommend to anyone who wants to have a beautiful skin.

While these tips are generally helpful since the body naturally reacts well to healthy habits, it is also important to know what the specific remedies are in maintaining an oil-free skin.

What causes oily skin?

An oily skin can be bad or good. A person who has an oily skin can have the fewer tendencies to develop wrinkles early in life. On the other hand, she will be prone to blemishes such as pimples. This is because the sebaceous gland that produces sebum or the natural oil content in her skin is more active thus causing the skin to be clogged.

Causes of oily skin may be hereditary. Others may be influenced by a person's hormone levels, diet, intake of contraceptive pills, and exposure to hot or humid weather. Stress has also been proven as one of the major causes of blemishes on the skin especially on the face. Changes in the hormone levels during pregnancy or menopause also affects a healthy skin.

Dry skin needs to have very special care to help avoid aging more quickly or other unwanted effects of dry skin. Wondering what you can do to alleviate your problems with dry skin?
